Vision Arm + Vision Suite

Six axes. One camera. Zero missed defects.

A six-axis arm that carries one camera over a production part. It moves to each planned view, holds still, and photographs the part so the software can classify defects.

The robot

Built to put a camera on a part, then hold still.

0

Axes, all closed-loop.

0 mm

Reach. 200 mm upper + 218 mm fore, shoulder at 183 mm. Nadir working height 150–300 mm over a 200 mm area.

±0°

Camera tilt repeatability, from image-search tolerance — not from a millimetre claim.

Vision Suite

Label. Train. Plan. Run it on the production.

Trainer Train

Label images and train the robot to classify defects.

80 / 10 / 10

Train, validation, test. Thresholds tuned per class. Benchmarks before a model leaves the studio.

Planner Plan

Golden image, alignment, regions, rules, retries — then a self-check before save.

Aligned, then judged

ORB on the whole photo for pose, fiducials for the rest. Rules and retries live in the plan, not in a script on the line.

Tester Line

Moves, waits until settled, captures on the IC4, scores, writes the record.

On the production PC

Each pose in the plan: move, settle, capture with the Imaging Source IC4, score with the deployed model, save a full inspection record.
